The Alapha Blue Blood Bulldog is a very sturdy muscular dog who is known for their protectiveness of their family. They make an excellent companion and watchdog. Square and powerfully built, agile and athletic for size they should give impression of nobility with their alertness.
Height: Males: 22-25 in., Females: 20-23 in.
Weight: Males: 70-100 lb., Females: 50-70 lb.
Colors: Blue merle, brown merle, red merle, black, white, buff, and brown
Coat: Short and stiff with a soft undercoat.
Temperament: Alapha Blue Blood Bulldogs are athletic, intelligent, protective
With Children: Yes, excellent
With Pets: Yes, if properly trained

Guard-dog: High, very protective
Care and Exercise: Minimum grooming of their short coat is necessary. Brush occasionally to remove any dead hairs as they are an average shedder. Bathe only when necessary. Daily walk or an area to play is recommended. They're active dogs who enjoy exercise.
Training: Recommended training be started at an early age. Can be territorial
Learning Rate: High, dutiful trainable
Activity: Low indoors, high outdoors.
Living Environment: Inactive indoors but will do well with a house with a yard.

History: Developed in southern Georgia in the Alapha River region by PaPa Buck Lane in the 1800's. The Alapha Blue Blood Bulldog was used on the plantations as a watch and livestock dog.
